Band Bio: What started out as two friends deciding to play an open mic night has evolved into CENTER HILL. Doug Perdue and Matt Walker (former bassist) sat around on weekends with friends and undoubtedly someone would end up with a guitar out playing and singing popular songs. One friend asked if either had any original songs. Perdue played a song he wrote to a surprised group that upon hearing the song insisted the duo play outside of someone’s living room. As fate would have it dominos began to fall in place. Perdue ran into long time friend and fellow musician David Christianson. After being filled in on the plan Christianson jumped at the opportunity to enter the mix. Literally on the same day Walker called and let Perdue know that he had found a drummer, Stephen Biscotte. Christianson’s brother Jared joined in and a band was underway. After a number of practices and for a wide variety of reasons, Walker and younger Christianson parted ways with the other three members. Lightning then struck for a second time. After a month of searching, fate smiled on the band in a second hurricane of additions. Perdue convinced his friend James Hargenrader to make the move from Guitar to Bass. A week later Shane Draper called to let Perdue know he was moving back to town and to see if he knew anyone looking for a guitar player. Earlier in the same week Glen Gray was asked to come check out the band to see what he thought. That week all six members played for the first time and have been together ever since. CENTER HILL was born.
